  • Our First LEED Training Class a Success!

Our first LEED for Homes training class was held in our offices Tuesday evening, November 10. Nearly 20 contractors and builders attended the two hour event, getting an introduction to what the LEED certification process means for the people who build houses. The course was taught by Butterfly team-member Jen Loui, a LEED-AP with 20 years teaching experience. The class was well received by the attendees, and not just because we provided snacks and beverages. We'll be doing more educational events like this in the future, so keep checking back for more information about our next offering, or send us an email to find out what's planned.
  • 350 Day of Climate Action

Our founder and leader Gary was the final speaker at the 350 International Day of Climate Action press conference at St Louis City Hall. Included in the speakers group were members of the city government and concerned citizens. Gary was the lone business person who spoke, and his remarks were about the need to address the energy issues associated with homes and businesses.  He also noted that building codes need to be radically improved for us to be able to meet this aggressive goal.

There is a way to stop this wastefulness and a good first step is hiring a professional to perform a Comprehensive Home Energy Analysis.
